[Leona himself originally wasn’t going to come along to this small town shoot. But Vil seemed like he might want the company. Most days he’s just been sleeping on and off during the day, and it’s been nice. Especially with winter break.
He gets the feeling he’s going to be needed elsewhere today. Vil had stepped out of the building long enough ago that it was cause for worry. The security aren’t move fast enough for Leona so he wanders off to search for himself.
Even if he knows Vil can care for himself.
Once he comes across the scene at hand, he’s placing his body between the three punks and Vil.]
[ "Haa?! Who the hell are you?!" One of them demands, glaring Leona down. "We were here first, so scram!"
The second among them points at them. "You think you can get away with treating loyal fans like this?! Wait'll Magicam hears about it!"
But the third is looking between Leona and Vil like he's suddenly about to shit himself- and he happens to be a beastman. "Uh, guys... I think we should leave. That guy- I think that's the second prince of Sunset Savanna..."
Vil is a bit startled that Leona's shown up, though he only steps to his side, arms folded. ]
... if my magicam numbers were so easily skewed by complaints, I wouldn't have much of a following.
[ He doesn't address the fact that Leona's a prince, when the first guy tells the third one to shut up- what the hell would a prince be doing here, and reaches out to grab Leona by the collar.
"Yer just some punk, so beat it!" He begins to say.
Vil, on the other hand, just moves his fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose. Well, Leona did warn them... ]
[Leona had learned some patience in his time with Vil. He didn’t come out swinging. Which is a marked improvement! Definitely!
Vil is his, so maybe he just wanted to be around just in case. They’ve been making strides in improving their relationship, and making time for one another. This is just one of the times Leona made for Vil, to support him.]
I ain’t one ta throw titles around, but yer buddy there knew what he was talk in’ about.
[ SORRY VIL THE ONE WHO IS GRABBING IS GETTING SWUNG AT.]
[ The guy doesn't know what hit him because the moment Leona swings at him, it's too fast for him to catch. He ends up completely off balance, and confused, while the second guy tries to go at Vil but he simply steps forward and with an easy swing kick, ends up sending him on the ground with his friend.
Amateurs.
He looks at them and the third, fixing his hair calmly. ]
I hope you understand that any slander will create more problems for you than they will for either of us?
[ Spoken very calmly, but at least the third guy has some sense to look apologetic and reassure them that nothing will be said and they're sorry.
Vil then looks to Leona wordlessly, nodding and turning around so they can leave while their two assailants recover. ]
They really should learn not to get into fights they can't win.
[ The guy who swung at Leona is actually stupid enough to try again in his rage. Bad idea on his part, really. Leona narrows his eyes as he turns around to catch the assailants fist and get nearly centimeters from his face.
It is a defense mechanism and a scare tactic, he roars at them. Sending the assailant back on his ass and scrambling back to his buddies. ]
I told ya to back off, an' you didn't listen. Don't try that shit again.
[ And the Leona returns to Vil's side, walking off with him. ]
[ Well. That may be a roar he's glad to not have aimed at him, because it definitely is one of the most intimidating he's heard.
And Leona just caught that attack like it was nothing too.
He's both impressed and a little nervous in that moment, but also— there's a hint of excitement when it happens, as well. He's good at hiding any anxiety he's feeling though, and thanks Leona quietly before touching his hand and looking at him- before returning to the shoot.
It's evening by the time he's done and gotten out of his makeup and outfits, and dressed down- he comes to find Leona at the town's hotel that they're staying at. It's a nice and simple place with an elegant decor, and once they're in Vil's room he flops down on the bed. ]
That happens sometimes. I'm sorry you had to see it.
[ And that was not even his best roar. He did well enough to scare the assailants away again and escort Vil back to where he needed to be. The group of three scrambling off to who knows where mutter and whimpering that they wouldn't say a word about this to anyone.
They better fuckin' not, or Leona will see to it personally.
He does take note, to himself, that he has certainly become way more protective over Vil in recent times. Unsurprising since they are dating officially now.
Leona goes back to their shared hotel and naps for the rest of the day, and only stirs when Vil returns. ]

Besides when I came to find you, I might have been nappin' all day. You got the room that was comfortable and had a nice view.
[ Had he eaten? He actually doesn't think he has. So he rolls over and puts his head into Vil's lap. He doesn't really know what he wants other than Vil's company at the moment. ]
[ This big kitty. He shifts to let Leona lay comfortably and runs his fingers through his hair to smooth it back, and gently scritches behind his ear. ]
I'm fine. You're here too, so how could I not be?
[ He pulls up his phone to the hotel's app and orders them a bit of an indulgent meal which- should probably tell that maybe he's not as fine as he says.
Well, no matter. He needs it and he can add more minutes to his morning jog.
He sets his phone aside and leans down to kiss the back of his ear. ]
I had every intent to finish it, hope ya know that.
[ He is watching Vil, and from the way he is acting...well, he can guess that Vil is not happy with the way things went down, and is bothered by how things were said to him. Leona doesn't deal with much harassment like that. He doesn't care to.
So he feels confident enough to call him out. ]
S'ok to not be happy with how things happened, yeah?
Of course I'm not happy with it... but being upset about it never did anything.
[ He knows not to engage in nasty comments about him on social media, and this is the same thing. ]
People like that are looking for a one shot at fame for talking down someone famous. They're usually encouraged by rival artists as well. It's a waste of time to engage. People like that aren't fans.
[ He sighs and strokes his fingers under his chin absently. ]
... having thick skin about it doesn't mean it doesn't feel terrible when people go that far to bring you down, I suppose.
[ He lets him lower his face for a kiss, but those words instantly make him feel better. And not just because he got a compliment from Leona out of it!
He does chuckle about it a little and touches his nose to Leona's. ]
It gets you saying sweet things like that, so is it that bad?
[ Gently teasing. But he kisses him in return, touching his face and admiring it. ]
Maybe you just need to kiss me some more to make me feel better.
[ He laughs a little bit, low and in his chest. Almost like a purr. He does love complimenting Vil away from their peers. It allows him to be more open with how feels. Also for the compliments to be only for his ears. He likes it better that way anyways. ]
Maybe you should lean down and take the kisses ya want, yeah?

[ He's teasing in return, but he does lean down and kiss Leona's mouth, once, twice, and cradles his head to lift it so he can kiss him more deeply, teasing his lips across his before bumping his nose against his. ]
[ Maybe Vil just feels like he needs the extra attention. And you know what. Leona will give it to him if he feels like he needs it. He takes a breath and pulls him back in for another deeper kiss. Keeping his head down, and bumping their noses again.
Well, he does find himself a bit surprised by that declaration. Leona isn't usually one to say something like that- he usually leaves things implied and makes him do the heavy lifting- or thinking, in this case.
But it does stir a warmth in his chest, and he watches him for a bit before feeling his face heat up. ]
Ya ordered a lot of things ya like, and yer lookin' for a lot of attention. I can tell you need the extra today.
[ He is literally admitting to paying attention right now. He is paying all sorts of attention to the way Vil acts. He loves him after all. He had better pay attention, even if he won't admit it all the time. ]
[ And after he slides back so Leona can lay on the bed before he moves over him and wraps his arms around his shoulders, pressing his cheek against his chest. He's laughing softly as he hugs him like that, before lifting his head to kiss him and smiles at him. ]
You're not allowed to back out now I'll be sure to wake you up nice and early no matter what we do tonight.
[ It's still early in the evening so they can eat and at least enjoy themselves a bit! He's just going to push his face into the side of Leona's neck, kissing it. ]
I don't want to waste a single moment with you, either.
[ It keeps Vil happy, and perhaps he could suffer to lose one morning of sleep if it meant that Vil wasn't using that terribly sad face on him. He returns the affections and hugs easily.
He smiles into Vil's hair, while Vil isn't looking at him. Though that doesn't stop him from feeling the quirk in his lips. ]
I would like it if ya did things to relax. Yer...skin would suffer if ya frowned too much.
