We can have many mates, yeah. But sometimes a lion can have a "main mate" and mates they consider "lower" or somethin' like that. S'like a hierarchy of mates. Though...

[ Hearing that is making his heart race. Him, a lioness... He's trying not to think of the idea that he might have something more with Leona. They're still in third year, and Leona is- well, he's been repeating his grade, too...

Eventually they'll have to part ways, won't they? That thought makes him touch Leona's hair, before-

He just leans in to kiss him deeply- it's not full of urgency, but it is slow and passionate, savoring his mouth and the feel of his warmth, as though afraid he will lose it, before breaking it. ]

[ He seems to be drifting from the subject of mates, not wanting to go into a serious conversation about it right now. Leona and him are here, and Leona's body wants his...

[ Reality states that logically they would have to part ways eventually. But Leona doesn't really like to think of that stuff. Leona likes to think of things like the right now. The here, the now. He doesn't really want to expend the energy to think about the what ifs and the future. Not in the heat of things.

His ears lift at Vil's request, which isn't what he would have expected, honestly. So he just chuffs out, fondly at that. ]

I'll be whatever ya want me to be.

[ If he can't be King at home, he could at least be King here. Be King of Vil's heart anyways, and Dormhead of Savannaclaw. It's where he feels the most needed at any rate. He closes his eyes and returns the kisses, languid and not at all in a hurry. They could take their time here if they wanted. ]

[ They could- at least until their food gets here anyway. They're here now, on a break, with each other. He doesn't want to think of obligation and responsibilities.

He just wants to pretend for a little while, before they go back to being students and before he is once again supermodel Vil Schoenheit who will one day graduate and leave this place. Before Leona is a prince again who doesn't want to return home.

And he leans his head down, body continuing to press against his and fitting between his legs- and their lips meeting again and again.

Right here and now, Leona can belong to Vil... and Vil can be his. Before they have to put everything else before each other. And he won't lose a single moment, until they have to part. ]

[ Every time Vil has to pay a visit to the Savanaclaw dorms, the students there end up being a little more courteous than they would be. He is the housewarden of Pomefiore after all, and no disrespect should be shown to him.

But he isn't usually without Rook Hunt by his side— and definitely not walking side by side with Leona, who is often tailed by Ruggie.

Who is also not here, but lately the dorm members have started to recognize Leona's scent on Vil enough to not risk angering him and at the same time, giving him some more care than they would without.

Vil is holding an envelope over his books, and it looks like the housewardens are going to have a meeting or study together. They're heading up to Leona's chambers though. And once they are in there, Vil shuts the door, going to set his books aside. ]

... they're friendlier now than they used to be. Do you suppose they've figured it out yet?

[ That they're together. The Savanaclaw boys tend to be a little slow at times. ]

[ Today it was by request that Ruggie go find somewhere else to entertain himself, and he certainly maybe asked that Rook do the same. It is fine, though. The two housewardens are just going to have a study date.

“Study” date. Though there were a few matters at hand before he is really permitted to focus on the things he wishes to focus on.

He raises a brow once they are behind closed doors.]

They should know what it means, if they ain’t stupid.

[ Vil has his scent on him, and Vil is over more often than he used to be. He wraps an arm around Vil’s waist, nose pressed to the side of his head contently.]

[ He smiles, leaning in against him now that they're alone and lifting a hand to gently stroke under his chin. ]

[ He does look thoughtful. ]

Are you going to open the letter any time soon? It's from your nephew, after all...

They know better than t’ run their mouths. In this dorm anyways.

[ He regards the letter, shrugging. ]

Didn’t plan on it.

[ Gently but firmly. He may still be a nag to others, but he's definitely grown a bit more softer in how he coaxes Leona.

He holds it out to him. ]

He's just a child and clearly loves and misses you. You could at least write back.



[ His boyfriend is a big cat though, so he knows he's going to be contrary. Which means.. ]

Of course, if you want him to keep writing to you, then I suppose there's no helping it.

[ He holds up Cheka's envelope, almost provoking. That usually works on Leona- and besides, that might mean a longer letter for his nephew and less reason for the little one to write constantly. ]

[Snatching the letter then. Why does this work every single time anyways? Provoking is unfortunately the most effective method for him.

He keeps one arm around Vil (because his) and opens the envelope to read it. ]

He’s a pain in my side.

[Secretly though, he loves his nephew. The problem has always been with Falena. ]

[ Smiling to himself! And he'll pull Leona down on the floor cushions and low table so they can sit comfortably. And so he can lean against Leona as he arranges his textbooks. ]

... terrible at spelling, isn't he? But he sounded those words out quite well.



[ He knows Leona will probably want to help on his own. He's helped underclassmen study before without revealing he does it.

Epel's said as much too. ]

Perhaps it's at a good time seeing as we need to write this report on Sunset Savanna.

[ Leona is still being a big baby about it, unfortunately. He might write back in a while, or he might just go in person of something. Maybe pick a day Falena isn't going to breathe down his neck.

He sighs a little. ]

Y'ever wanted to visit?

[ One day he'll get Leona to admit he actually likes the baby. For now, though, he makes himself comfortable, turning to glance at him at his question. ]

Visit? I suppose it would be nice to see it in person without any work involved.


[ Vil's father has traveled around the world with him when he was younger, so he'd still like to travel on his own and enjoy the different regions for himself. ]

... is that an invitation?

[ He does not want to admit that he likes the baby. Even if he might kinda like the baby.

He tilts his lips into a smile. ]

It is.

[ Because that would be helpful for whatever they need to do, and then his annoying nephew can see him in person for a while. ]

If ya wanna go, that is.

[ That just makes him lean in close and he slides a hand behind Leona's head so he can bring it close and kiss him chastely. ]


As long as you make the effort to show me around.

[ He bumps his nose up against his. ]

... Isn't there a special event happening sometime soon? Is that why you want to go?

[ With all of this attention, Leona is bound to do anything that Vil asks of him. So he nods again. If he wants to be shown around...well, it can't helped. ]

Whose ta say why I want to go back home.

[ He's being shy about it. He knows that there is an event soon, and maybe he wants Vil to come experience it. Maybe meet his family. His nephew, really. Then he could see what like is like back at home for him. ]

... there is somethin' comin' up soon.

He smiles to himself, not wanting to tease Leona all that much about it, but he can't help but stroke the side of his face. ]

That is to say, I'll go, whenever it happens. I suppose I should read up on customs proper. I wouldn't want to do anything to offend your people.


[ He moves to open up one of the textbooks. ]

Though you may have to give me some personal instruction yourself, your royal highness.

Doubt y’could do anything to offend them anyways. They’ll know yer visitin’. I have to make the family and attendants aware anyways.

[He shrugs, leaning into all of the affection. He would teach Vil what he needed to know, but it’s hardly anything he probably already doesn’t know. ]

My nephew and my brother will want to make sure ya have a good stay.

[ Leona too.]

[ That- actually makes him look a bit surprised. Leona wants to introduce him to his family? The family he's been consistently running away from all this time, to the point of repeating years in Night Raven College so he doesn't have to go back?

He can feel his cheeks warm as he looks ahead of him, though his red ears must be giving it all away... ]

I see... Will it be alright if I stay where you are? I'm not a royal, after all.

[ Just subtly asking if he actually intends to keep him with him, or will they have to stay in different locations. ]

... I'd be happy to meet your brother and nephew. I wasn't able to look after him the last time he visited the school.

[Leona just thinks this is the normal progression of things, honestly! Leona may avoid his family most of the time, but his cold heart is still somewhat warm. Somewhat.

He kisses Vil’s red ears.

Ya had other things to do, he’s Falena’s responsibility anyways.

[ Damnit Leona, his ears are blushy! That makes them sensitive! He exhales and looks at their books, all studying very nearly forgotten. ]

Leona, wait, if I stay with you at the palace... are you certain your family will be alright with it? I'm a model and actor... I don't want you getting any bad press for it.

So what? The press will just note yer in Sunset for a cultural festival.

[ Ah, there it is. It is a festival. Something bright and happy.

Leona might be lukewarm on his family but traditions are traditions he guesses.]

[ Oh. A festival! He does seem to brighten at that, and he knows it will definitely be good for him to expand his horizons- which, so soon after the experience he got with Sam's is really good.

... and this time he gets to do it with someone he loves...


To say he's feeling bashful inside doesn't begin to cover it. But he grins a bit. ]

[ He turns his head and leans his own back to kiss his cheek. ]

I'll be glad to, then. Though... what will you say about us, should your family ask? Are they fine with you dating someone who isn't a royal?

[ He did figure that he would be happy if he were to hear that Leona wanted him to come. He wants Vil to start getting used to being at his side, because that is what main mates do.

Does Vil even know he is the main mate? Likely the only mate Leona would care to have energy for? ]
