[ That makes her laugh weakly as she kisses his cheek, and nuzzles him after, affectionate and moves an arm around his waist. ]

Then I suppose I'll just have to make you want for nothing. I'd assumed a beautiful man like yourself would have so many admirers... now I'm surprised that you would choose me at all.


[ She ducks her head, a little bashful. ]

Then again, I'm always surprised mine mates liked me too...

I’ve been called a recluse many times. Stuffy, unsociable. Even if people think I look nice, I do not make it easy to approach.

[ This stresses how much he trusts her. Her touch is welcome. He even leans into it.]

You do not have to give me any extra attention, I promise that to you.

[ Her cheeks grow pink from the words, and she's still- it's still so surprising! She really hasn't been anyone but her clan's matriarch before this. But the forehead bump is welcome, and she pokes her nose against his to nuzzle. ]

... 'tis hard not to be, with people as wonderful as you around.

[ It's so comfortable with him, the way she feels around her mates... ]

I like that about you, though. You focus on you, before you set out on anything else... you're dedicated to what you feel important to you, before anyone else. Your knowledge is so enviable, too. I just know I ended up wanting to know you more before I could resist.

I’ve never really depended on others before now. I did not feel that it was important.

I was wrong, clearly.

[ He got his knowledge from a few places. His mother, and from gleaning.]

You could always take up gleaning, if you want to expand your horizons.

You know, I come from a clan of travelers and have always done something like gleaning. Maybe one day you can show me what you've discovered!

[ She nuzzles his nose, wiggling her ears at him. ]

Being in a relationship isn't depending on anyone, though. 'tis just sharing your joys and company, like a friend. But kissier!

Why, of course they would! I tell them all about my friends... and they ought to meet their mother's companions!
